Collecting for Families

How can you help?

Many people are not in a financial position to give as they would like to this Christmas, but there are plenty of other ways to help! If you have a workplace, a church, a community group, a school, a sports club or even just through Social Media - could you rally your organisation to collect for the Hope Centre this year? If so we can help with some resources below!

Tips and ideas

- Try concentrating on a single thing to collect, perhaps new toys or food. Perhaps even one type of food such as Christmas boxes of chocolate or drinks. This way people don't get confused about what to grab when they're shopping.

- Instead of collecting (or as well) you could create a fundraiser. Maybe a raffle at the works Christmas do or a sponsor event?

- Set a cut-off and delivery date. This should be before 13th December for food and 30th November for toys to give us chance to distribute to those who need it. Especially toys - the earlier the better!

- Set a target. This helps people to see what you're aiming for, how they can help and to celebrate with you when you smash it!

- Make the most of our templates below. These help people to know what you're collecting and why.

- Arrange collection/delivery with us. We want to make sure that we get pictures and use our Social Media to say thank you, raise awareness and let everyone know how brilliant you've been!

The Hope Centre is part of the Hidden Treasure Trust and forms one of Trafford's fantastic Community Hubs. They've been supporting local residents since the start of the pandemic with food, school uniform, energy top-ups, information and advice, new toys, courses and wide-ranging family support service, white goods, meals and much more. Currently over 600 local households receive regular support, without which many of whom simply could not survive.

This Christmas we will be ...... to donate to the Hope Centre. We are hoping to raise/collect ........ which will help many families in Partington who are struggling against poverty. We know this support will make an enormous difference to many people and really want to encourage you to get involved. You can help by...... by 13th December at the latest.

Thank you so much!
